I run a Nikana Prime combo build or Syam heavy-attack build depending on my mood.Ĭompanion Typically you can run for the boost to critical chance. Melee is your backup when you are out of Energy, since you cannot use it while having active. Melee: Any strong weapon of your preference. Also preferably something with accuracy at long range. Secondary: Same as Primary Any Status-build weapons different elements than Corrosive and Cold, to build off of. (Like the switches on the Sedna Boss Battle) I would recommend having a weapon with decent range, just in case you need to hit an objective target. Quickly blast, applying status chance, then melee for massive synergistic damage. Recommended Load-outs: Primary: Any Status-build weapons, with different elements than Corrosive and Heat. Arcane Revives are just the icing on top. However, I would recommend other Arcanes for survivability such as Arcane Guardian or Arcane Grace if you are not used to moving very fast and dodging high-damage attacks. I prefer Arcane and Arcane Strike to build off of the melee focused build, to increase Damage, Attack Speed and DPS significantly. Combined with Wrathful Advance, guaranteed 18.3x critical damage increase.įor Arcanes, anything works. 2x for Ability Strength (+30% total), 3x for Melee Critical Damage (+37.5% * 3). This is extremely significant for massive damage and the ability to basically eliminate bosses or very-high Steel Path Endgames. (Major Update 3) Helminth: Replace Radial Javelin with Wrathful Advance from Kullevero. gives you the ability to standup directly to large groups of endgame enemies without stress. The Umbral mods boost your overall ability strength and damage. (Major Update 2), and are the survivability mods. My personal preference is for the bonus first hit damage. instead of as it provides slightly more damage to at this Strength level, and applies its bonus on the first hit.įor Aura Mods, anything works. and to 100% status chance and increase damage with. (Major Update 1) and To increase effiency and allow for energy drops on kills with equipped with Cold It relies entirely on Exalted Umbra Blade as primary source of damage. The basis of this build is the 100% status chance powered. Longer explanation: As an main, I can attest that this exact build helped me complete Steel Path solo. S/A - tier buildĬONS: Cannot control large open areas like Khora, Saryn or Volt which are S-tier build Area Controlling Builds. PROS: Extremely good in 1v1 situations and in tight spaces like corridors where there are may enemies behind enemies. Use Wrathful Advance on a basic target to guarantee red crits to erase stronger enemies and bosses in a few seconds. Fire weapons, then quickly melee for bonus damage. Radial Blind and melee/ finish if necessary. TL DR Pull out Exalted Umbra Blade, and spam melee. You are nothing but a liability to your squad." Kill them before they can kill you" - That's the entire concept of this build. Excalibur doesn't have the benefits of Iron Skin so you cannot safely carry more than 5 points without being in a position for being 1-shot and losing the whole round for your party. It also limits you to only hitting one enemy, being mostly stationary. Melee is such complete ♥♥♥♥ in Index just because of how enemy shields have a fast recovery time. These are all infinitely more beneficial to all levels of Index than an Excalibur, Afk or not. Limbo just remaining in the rift while collecting points or using stasis to prevent enemy turn-in. Nidus using larva to snag enemies creating a collecting zone. Gara using wall to just block off enemy turn-in and picking off enemies with weapons and turning in 5-10 points at a time. ![]() Khora using net to snag enemies creating a collecting zone. Mesa with Exalted Guns and not collecting points. Nezha with Tigris or Rubico while collecting points using Halo but still built for armor and health. Rhino with Tigris or Rubico while collecting points using Iron Skin. 9/10 times I see an excalibur in Index, they are just hacking away at the same enemy for 20-40 seconds without even dropping shields, while I kill it in 1 or 2 shots. The only reason why people do it is so that they don't actually have to do anything themselves and can just leech the win from other people while making the rounds longer since you aren't actually killing or collecting points in a meaningful way.
